QuickTips and Ways to Save Money in the Studio

Be Prepared

• Be well rehearsed, know your parts and song arrangements.
• Learn to play the rythm part where your solo is and plan to do your solo as an overdub.
• Work out solo's ahead of time.
• Record the songs you are most comfortable with first, this will keep everyone's confidence up.
• Think about production values ahead of time (backup vocals, effects, etc..)
• Bring reference Cd's
• Have confidence in you engineer, remember, we do this everyday!
• Save time for double tracking vocals and guitars
• Be sure that your instruments are intonated and in good working condition.
• Get a setup done on your guitars if necessary.
• Change your strings!
