We have a lot of talent in the studio this month, covering every genre from Metal to Country. Syracuse has some of the best original music that we have heard anywhere. We know there is a lot to read here, but every one of these groups deserves to have much more than these short blurbs written about them. These bands really deserve your support, so if you have a chance, go check them out.
DUSTY PAS'CAL returns to start work on his follow up to the hugely successful "Home". You can hear a track from "Home" our myspace music player, or visit our site (www.subcatstudio.com) and open SubCat's own player for a higher quality example.
After a couple singles and a demo, TORMENT THE VEIN is working on a new crushing metal album with their new drummer, Fred "the human click track" Fakasha.
BLUE SMOKE has also returned to create another great album with new drummer GARNET (The King Snakes) and harp player MIKE PETROFF.
Hailing from Skaneateles NY, RUNAWAY HUDSON is also back to continue working on their debut album, with one of our on staff producers, Derek Yackel. You can checkout one of their completed works on our myspace music player, or for a higher quality visit our site (www.subcatstudio.com) and open SubCat's own player.

PERPETUAL BURN (formerly known as Necrosis) is in the studio working on their full-length album. These guys have some killer Metal Riffs spanning decades of metal. Think Iron maiden all the way to Killswitch Engage.

Phil and Hanna complete "Things Are Looking Up".
It's no secret that Phil and Hanna are all about the great sounds and feel of traditional jazz. With silky smooth vocals and downright inspiring stand up bass playing, this CD is easily described as breathtaking. The project moved along nicely with some outstanding musicians rounding out the sound. Lead Engineer, Sam Patterelli, put in some long hours behind the console on this one, but we think you will agree it was worth it.
Laura Austin finishing up "BitterSweetHeart".

The smooth sounds of smooth Jazz really shines on this full-length CD. These guys were all about perfection and it paid off. We are proud of the results and we're sure you'll not be disappointed in this band.
Scarlet Endings getting started at Subcat.
The look, the material and the desire puts these up and coming twin sisters on the right road to success. Some describe them as Indigo Girls meet Greenday. We know that it can only mean success. Watch for their debut CD soon.
Chris Lizzi Band looking for quality.
The Chris Lizzi Band began tracking their latest CD this month. Chris and the band are exceptional song writers and are looking forward to releasing a solid, quality recording of folk/rock blend. With the great songs and sounds we are getting, this CD will be sure to turn some heads.

With this CD, In Transit is creating a raw and energized sound one may not think of when listening to a Christian rock band. Dave and the guys (and gal!) have stepped up the music and the message in their latest recording. With roughly half the tracks out of the way, they are on their way to a solid sounding CD.

Subcat Readies Studio C For Action.
We have finished construction on our newest live recording space, dubbed Studio C. This space will be primarily used as an additional recording space given it's exceptional tonal qualities courtesy of the open design and hardwood flooring we chose. Sitting atop that beautiful floor is an even more beautiful Kallet 5.7 ft. Grand Piano by Yamaha. We have been doing some sound samples of this instrument in the room and we are quite pleased so far and looking forward to our first full session to put it through it's paces.
